From Barbara Bradley Bolen, Ph.D.:
The severity of the impact that IBS has on a person's life has long been overlooked or minimized. Over the years I have heard countless stories of lives filled with pain and life limitations caused by this very disruptive digestive disorder. I have also seen people find ways to manage their IBS so that their lives do not feel so like they are completely turned upside down. My mission is to get relevant information to those who are affected by IBS so that they can find a way to regain that all-important sense of control over one's life.

Please note: Barbara Bradley Bolen Ph.D does not write for IBS-Health.com. We have chosen the work she had published on ‘About.com’ as few have her level of insight into IBS. This information is published here for those who wish to have a scientific look into IBS. We do heartily recommend her books and that if you are lucky enough to live close, that you pay her a visit.
We also recommend ‘The Digestive System’ BY Margaret E Smith and Dion G Morton, for those who wish to increase their knowledge.
The shoe that fits one person pinches another; there is no recipe for living that suits all cases.
