IBS Bloating - Quick list


  1. Start with diet.. We recommend the Low FODMAP diet.  Of all available methods the Low FODMAP diet most successfully tackles the bloating endured by IBS sufferers.  Low FODMAP Diet
  2. Cut our the triggers.  Coffee, alcohol, fried food, all the fun stuff.     Foods to avoid
  3. Do not starve yourself, doing so will lead to bloating, and often cramping when you finally eat.
  4. Take good quality Probiotics, try a variety to see which one suits you.
  5. Try to eat small meals regularly rather than heavy meals.
  6. If you choose not to follow the Low FODMAP diet, ensure that you keep note of foods that trigger your bloating.
  7. Avoid yeast, from bread, beer, or even spreads such as marmite/vegemite.  Yeast is a living organism and known for its fermentation.
  8. Good general health is a great tool for any condition.  Good diet and exercise is always beneficial.
  9. Avoid sugary foods.  They can assist the fermentation that creates bloating.
  10. Avoid sodas and gassy drinks.
