Ingredients


500g lamb mince

2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp allspice

1 tsp thyme

1 tsp paprika

50g pine nuts, roughly chopped

1 tbsp chopped chives

2 tbsp olive oil

150g lactose free yogurt

zest of 1 lemon, plus a little of the juice

2 tbsp molasses


Serves - 4



Method


In a large bowl, mix the mince, spices, pine nuts and chives.

Mix with your hands to evenly distribute all the ingredients. Shape into 25 balls, roughly the size of a walnut.

Heat the oil in a pan and fry the meatballs for 10-12 mins, stirring constantly, until browned and cooked through.

Place the lactose free yogurt, lemon zest, a squeeze of the juice and some seasoning in a small bowl.

Add 1 tbsp of the molasses and mix to combine. Swirl the remaining molasses into the yogurt.

Serve the meatballs with the lactose free yogurt, sprinkled with chopped herbs.
