IBS Rapid Motility - Quick list

  1. Start with diet.. We recommend the Low FODMAP diet, however you will need to modify it.  Few sufferers with rapid motility can enjoy acidic fruit for example.
  2. Cut our the triggers.  Coffee, alcohol, fried food, all the fun stuff.     Foods to avoid
  3. Try to eat and drink throuughout the day, even if it is water and plain white rice.
  4. Take good quality Probiotics preferably 20-30 Billion live bacteria.
  5. Ensure that you take a good quality Multi-vitamin and enjoy nutricious meals in the evening.
  6. Look at relaxation techniques if stress is a major factor in your life.
  7. If stress and anxiety are influencing your life and your IBS be prepared to acknowledge and challenge that aspect of your life.  IBS Psychology
  8. Good general health is a great tool for any condition.  Good diet and exercise is always beneficial.
  9. Discuss options with your Doctor.  If you are really struggling Codeine may be an option to be discussed.  Codeine
  10. Be patient, IBS symptoms rarely disappear overnight.  You will need to be strong and keep going.
